In almost all municipalities the following information is required for fire alarm drawing review: Floor Plans, Riser Diagrams, Point to Point Drawings (not always), Battery Calculations, Voltage Drop Calculations and Equipment Submittals. We provide the following services: Floor Plans: the number of Floor
Plans can be
determined by the following;
Number of floors (Obvious) Scale of Drawings; while there may be one floor NFPA requires 1/8th inch scale. As such a single story warehouse may require multiple drawings depending on the overall square footage. Drawings showing equipment, machinery hospital beds etc. May require expanded views Riser Diagrams: are not required to be to scale but must have specific details associated with each device. These markings must be legible and in some municipalities must be per floor. Point to Point Diagrams: are not required to be to scale but must have specific details associated with each device. These markings must be legible and in some municipalities must be per floor. Battery Calculations: Battery Calculations are determined by many factors, Device Type, Quantity, Current Draw etc. Manufacturers frequently change these characteristics. Our database is updated before every project to ensure accurate calculations. Voltage
Drop Calculations: Voltage
Drop is determined
by wire Length, Wire size current draw etc. These calculations vary by
wire
type. Our data base is updated before every project to ensure accurate
calculations.
Equipment Submittals: Equipment Manufacturers have Specification Sheets for all Equipment and Devices. These must be provided at the time of submittal they must be updated and accurate.
